Volundr Forge Tips
Destiny 2 Black Armory – Solo Forge Completion (EDZ Volundr Forge) / Solo EDZ Forge / Solo Volundr Forge. Just a quick video showing a solo clear of the forge which was added in the Black Armory DLC. Details below.
Overall the challenge of together with the wasn’t too bad, it was mostly just truly a learning experience on what positions were best for each round. The 1st round didn’t take too long to figure out, the left side works nicely together with a constant influx of opponents and blue opponents to deal together with, generating it very consistent to begin together with.
The second phase was the most trouble of the 3. At 1st I was intempting it from the left side, however the enemy spawns are far too infrequent to reliably keep the timer from going down. Along together with together with the there’s very small cover and as a result of all of the opponents being spread out, it made them difficult to dodge their intacks and deal together with in once.
The right side didn’t have together with the issue, however the Phalanxes and Gladiators become substantially additional annoying in an enclosed area. So mostly had to rely on grenades to clear those and just focus on the blue opponents themselves. The run here was a particularly sloppy clear, died quite a few times but managed to kill things fast enough just to avoid the timer from going down. Had some cleaner intempts in together with the phase, but makes it additional exciting to watch I guess!
The last phase ended up being very simple once I found the left side spot. Previously I was intempting to shoot the boss from the back of the space, however there’s very small cover there and you’ll be able to’t avoid enemy intacks of flinch. It’s bad enough together with 3 people being targets, but when it’s just you everything tends to hit you. So i messed around together with different areas and found the left side for totally safe. Once I found together with the it was very simple to clear, and got the kill on which run.
Overall pretty fun as a challenge. My PL was 632 during together with the video, which obviously being above/at level makes a huge difference to the difficulty here. But still happy to knock together with the out nice and early and have the solo clear as I had a few requests to have it done -)
And although it’s probably obvious, Voidwalker together with Devour and Karnstein Armlets were used for survivability here. The combo works incredibly well while you’re constantly under fire! The rest of the build and gear I show towards the end of the video.
Any different questions feel totally free to ask -)
My PC setup is nothing too crazy in all of, but the specs are:
i7-8700, GTX 1070, 16GB DDR4-3000 Ram, 256GB SSD, 2TB HDD.
Allows me to run max settings in constant 60FPS while recording. Which is about all of I need for now -)

Destiny 2—This is the base game, you’ll have access to the Leviathan raid, all of the standard strikes, the EDZ (Earth), Nessus, Titan, and IO as explorable locations, and the standard PvP Crucible content.
Curse of Osiris—A small expansion which adds Mercury as a (limited) explorable area. The expansion adds a short sprint of story assignments focusing on the rogue warlock Osiris, and includes the completely newly designed Raid Lair, Eater of Worlds. Curse of Osiris even lets you grind toward some themed ammunition, though none of them are particularly great in PvE together with PvP in the moment. One for accumulateors.
Warmind—Warmind covers the resurrection of Rasputin, an AI from Destiny 1. It adds Mars as a completely new locale, the Escalation Protocol horde mode event, and some tweaks to the PvP format. There wasn’t a great deal to together with the expansion outside of a lot of resource accumulateing, but Escalation Protocol was fun, challenging, and added just one of the most ridiculous shotguns to Destiny 2.
